This photograph shows the beginning of 'Wet, wet, wet'. I have drawn out a composition on watercolour paper, basing it on reference photographs I took at Ness Botanic Gardens.The branch of leaves is covered in raindrops. I have painted in the background with a couple of washes of Midnight Green and Neutral Tint. I will be posting photographs of it as it progresses.
I find it really interesting that you have all that pencil on when you place your paint on top. Fascinating. I tend to rub my lines out, or not even bit them in.
