Camellia with raindrops

This is a pencil drawing of a Camellia, which will be another raindrop painting in watercolour and gouache. I took some photographs of this Camellia at Kew Gardens earlier in the year when we went to visit Marianne North's Gallery. The day was very wet, but the sun came out just at the right moment. The light was perfect and the leaves seemed to hold the raindrops well. I have high hopes that this will turn out okay.

Wet, wet, wet No.4

I am getting carried away with the raindrops now. Painting raindrops is a favourite part of any painting I produce. Each raindrop is individual and interesting, it is a challenge capturing them.
